Almondigas Recipe



Ingredients of Almondigas Recipe

Meat Balls

  • 1/2 kilo ground pork or beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 piece medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup All purpose flour
  • 2 pc eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3/4 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp iodized fine salt

for the Almondigas soup


  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 medium sized patola (loofah or chinese okra), sliced
  • 1 pc medium onion, sliced
  • 8 cups of water
  • 1 pc chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1/4 kg carrots
  • 150 grams misua noodles
  • 2 stalks green onion, sliced
  • 1 pouch (200 grams) tomato sauce
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
Almondigas Cooking instructions

For the meatballs
  • in large bowl combine ingredients for meatballs
  • mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are well incorporated
  • form every 2 teaspoons of mixture into balls. set aside
For the Soup
  • Saute garlic and onion and chicken cube
  • add tomato sauce and water
  • allow to boil, then add meatballs, carrots, salt and pepper to taste
  • cover and simmer for another 20 mins, or until meat is cooked
  • add the patola (loofa) and cook for 3 minutes
  • add misua, then simmer for 3 minutes
  • top with gree onions.
